Still Wild is an independent studio and small publishing imprint building games, hard science fiction, and the occasional utility app. Everything here is made by a small team who ships slowly, in public, and prefers finishing real projects over chasing trends.
Running Monkey Games is our mobile and web game development label. Projects range from small utility-style apps like PhotoBlaster, a photo editing and effects app for Android, to VideoBlaster, its in-progress video counterpart built with React Native and Expo. We also prototype original game concepts, including Water Maze, a physics-based puzzle game currently being built out in Unreal Engine 5.
Our approach favors small, focused apps that do one thing well over bloated feature lists — built independently, from concept through Play Store release. See more at runningmonkeygames.stillwild.land.
Still Wild Publishing is our self-publishing imprint for hard science fiction, releasing work under the pen name Michael Jayne. Our flagship title, Around the Moon in a Day, is a hard sci-fi novella grounded in real orbital mechanics and spaceflight engineering, paired with a companion website and a cinematic Three.js-based moon flyover built from real NASA Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter mesh data.
The goal with every release is scientific plausibility first — stories that could plausibly happen with the physics we actually have, not the physics we wish we had.
Camp Babbling Brook is our slower-paced, ongoing brand under the Still Wild umbrella — a home for smaller, more personal projects that don't fit neatly under games or publishing. Think of it as the workshop where ideas get tested before they graduate into their own thing. More at campbabblingbrook.stillwild.land.
HiFi Tool is a utility currently in development under the Still Wild name, hosted at hifitool.stillwild.land. Details will be added here as the project takes shape and moves toward release.
New projects join the Still Wild family on an ongoing basis, spanning games, fiction, and small independent tools. Check back for updates as they're released.
